The Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), CAS, is honored to host the Frontier Biomedical Series Seminar 2025, No. 1. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Khalid Shah, Professor at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Center for Stem Cell and Translational Immunotherapy, as our distinguished keynote speaker.

Dr. Shah is an internationally renowned scholar in translational biomedical research. His work is dedicated to developing gene-edited and engineered cell therapies, with multiple breakthrough achievements in cancer treatment. His pioneering research on re-engineering cancer cells as a therapeutic strategy has garnered widespread international coverage in prestigious media outlets, including Scientific American and The New York Times. He is also a published author and the founder of two biotechnology companies focused on advancing cell therapies to the clinic.

This seminar, entitled "Innovation and Collaboration: Bio-Engineered Therapies from Bench to Bedside," will feature in-depth discussions led by Dr. Shah on several core topics. These include building innovative research systems, the advancement of cell therapy technologies, and the development of preclinical models and translational pathways.

The seminar will be held in person at the aforementioned location and will be simultaneously broadcast online via Zoom.
